Use the ideas below to map out your route, pick a couple must-dos, and make the most of your time in the city.
Things to do while in Louisville

Kentucky Derby Museum
The Kentucky Derby Museum sits at Churchill Downs in Louisville and it’s a blast even if you’re not a “horse racing person.” Start with the museum’s 360 degree film The Greatest Race, then you can spend some time wandering the exhibits and Derby history across two floors. General admission includes a guided track visit and if you want to round it out, the museum also has the Derby Cafe and Bourbon Bar for a drink or a bite before you head back.

Louisville Mega Cavern
If you want a truly unique Louisville stop, make time for the Louisville Mega Cavern. It’s a massive underground limestone cavern turned adventure spot. Go easy with the Mega Tram for a guided ride through the cavern and its history, or dial it up with Mega Zips, an underground zipline course. If you’re here with kids or a group that likes a challenge, Mega Quest adds an aerial ropes course underground. Plan ahead, book in advance, and make sure you wear closed toe shoes!

Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory
If you’ve never been, the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory is one of those stops that’s just plain fun, even if you’re not a huge baseball fan. You’ll see how the famous bats are made from start to finish, watch them coming off the line, and walk past a wall of player models that reads like a hall of fame. Don’t miss the giant bat out front for the photo, and make sure to grab the free mini bat at the end of the tour. It’s an easy, upbeat stop that pairs well with lunch downtown before you head back.
After a full day out exploring, come back to Etown RV Park and settle in for a relaxed evening. You’ll have full hookup sites with roomy concrete pads, plus long term options if you’re planning to hang around a while. Hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, and a dog park make it easy to reset and get ready for whatever tomorrow brings.
