This is the area’s famous gold vault , and it’s fun to see the real thing in the wild. The important note is: the depository is not open for tours or public visits. Historic Main Post Chapel
The Historic Main Post Chapel is an easy stop that adds some texture to a Fort Knox visit. Built in 1899, it’s listed as the oldest building on post and still supports worship services today so you’re seeing a piece of living history.
